The coconut oil and baking soda face wash is a technique that provides unique results against wrinkles and sagging facial skin.
It is one of those natural solutions which is used as a facial cleanser and is highly successful in doing so.
In my entourage, many of my friend’s daughters use the technique to provide deep skin cleansing.
The coconut oil and baking soda face wash technique are really good to address pores.
It is also really good as support to remove acne.
But what I like the most is that the technique I’ll share with you below is a recipe for getting rid of blackheads.
In summary, the technique provides deep cleansing for pores, acne, and blackheads.
Why use baking soda and coconut oil face wash?
The first thing I’d like you to take into account is that this technique is based on natural products.
As such, when you use it, you are not using chemical type products that destroy your cells.
The second point I’d like to make is that the technique only uses two ingredients. So, it is very simple to prepare and use.
The third point is probably the most important one. It is also the one you may be interested in the most.
By applying the technique to your skin, not only you will help to remove pores, acne, and blackheads, but you’ll also get rid of dead skin cells.
This means you’ll eliminate excess dirt and dust. And at the same time, you’ll remove acne, some of your skin’s scars, and obviously a bit of redness.
Some of my friends even call this technique the coconut oil and baking soda face wash for acne.
That’s because it has been effective in dramatically reducing acne on their faces and for some on their back.
But I have to say this. This technique did not work for a few of my friends.
Though it has been very effective for the vast majority, for others around me, it has not done that much good. Just a few acne spots disappeared.
I hope that you’ll not be going to be part of those people who the coconut oil and baking soda technique do not work.
Why washing face with coconut oil and baking soda works?
I am sure by now you know this. But the technique is based on two main natural ingredients: coconut oil and baking soda.
Among these ingredients, we have baking soda.
And baking soda is a very strong and versatile ingredient. It can be used in many different ways.
As an example, many of us use baking soda to prepare different baked goods.
But what is of interest to me is that we use it to perform household cleaning.
If you think of it, baking soda is very handy when you want to polish or deodorize your home. Being effective for your home cleaning purposes if used properly, it can also be good for your skin.
I would like to bring your attention to the above words ‘it can also be good for your skin‘.
I invite you not to use this recipe too often and not to misuse the measures I am about to give you. Baking soda is highly effective, but if you use it too often then it can cause damages to your skin.
Let me draw up an analogy here.
If you eat too much, you’ll get fatter. That is a fact that we all know about.
If you eat too little, you’ll endanger yourselves and may die from lack of food.
So too much of baking soda is bad, and too little will not work either.
I hope this makes sense.
Has baking soda been used as a beauty product?
Baking soda is widely used as a beauty product for skin, teeth, and hair. And this has been for a long time.
What you’ll find is that the ratios for the use of baking soda on the skin have not been respected and that is why I am asking you to not overuse this natural substance.
What you’ll find is that you’ll get great results on your skin.
But that does not mean you should not be careful. It will heal acne as baking soda is a known amphoteric compound.
This means it has the ability to maintain normal pH levels of your skin.
And maintaining these levels does prevent the formation of acne. Note that baking soda has antibacterial activities that have been proven scientifically (1).
Obviously, coconut oil is helpful too.
The substance has strong moisturizing, healing, and antibacterial properties.
Again, you’ll find that coconut oil is widely used in cosmetic and beauty products. What we are doing here is using the best of both properties to your advantage.
Coconut oil and baking soda face wash cleanse
This is the simplest recipe for acne and blackheads. It only needs 3 minutes of preparation time.
Ingredients
- Extra virgin coconut oil – Two teaspoons is more than enough.
- Baking soda – One teaspoon – Please stick to the measure of 1 teaspoon and less when you have very little acne. Note that you need to ensure the baking soda is free of aluminum.
Procedure for preparing the mixture
First, take a small bowl.
Now put the extra virgin coconut oil and the baking soda in it.
Mix the lot and mix the two substances well. What you’ll end up with is a nice paste.
Apply the paste to your skin. Make sure you gently rub the affected area.
Leave the mixture rest for less than five minutes.
Finally, use lukewarm water to wash your face and affected areas of your body. Again gently massage the affected areas without removing the acne (stay away from the temptation).
Note that the coconut oil will hydrate your skin. So you do not need to get a separate moisturizing cream.
