This is exactly why I decided to share with you 9 very simple lemon detox diet recipes that you use and share with your friends for the optimum body detox.
I also share with you why you need to do this type of detox by highlighting the different health benefits associated with this fruit.
And the first thing I want to share with you is that lemon is really a fruit. YES, it is a fruit. (1)
So now that we are on the same page about lemon being a fruit, let go into the real stuff.
Why do you need to engage in a lemon detox diet?
Nowadays, and in this digital ever stressful environment, our body absorbs and produce a lot more toxins than 20 years ago.
And as there is a huge amount of these toxin accumulating in our bodies, it is very difficult for our organs to get rid of them all.
And this is why we need to help our organs.
Personally, I try as much as I can to avoid chemicals and toxins, but these are everywhere around us.
So it is nearly impossible to decrease their bad effect on us unless we take a pro-active method to flush them out from our organs and bodies.
So, now having been armed with the above knowledge, do you really want to stay passive and do nothing?

Yes, you are right in thinking that this should not be the case, but when it comes to money, manufacturers of these products will not look after you. They’ll look after their wallets.
If you cannot avoid these, you need to engage in fighting them with the tools you have around you.
Below, I want to share with you how you can eliminate quite a lot of the toxins.
The methods are effective at detoxifying your organism and restoring your healthy body balance.
And I want to do a full body detox using one simple ingredient, the lemon detox.
I’ll share with you 9 lemons detox recipes including the right way to perform the well-known lemon water detox.
But first, let’s see why a simple lemon detox recipe is so beneficial for you? And then we can provide you many more recipes.
Why a lemon detox is beneficial for you?
Lemons are one of the unique fruits rich in vitamin C.
Oranges and grapefruits are also full of Vitamin C.
I think this is why they are some of our favorite fruits in the winter for Orange and summer for grapefruits.
The Vitamin C and the acid that is contained in the lemon make this fruit top of our range for being one of the best when it comes to detoxifying your body.
And it does that very well by removing and flushing most if not all of the harmful toxins and chemicals.
Just to add one extra reason for detox with lemon.
Whenever you’re feeling a bit weak, tired or even without any strength and energy, just use lemons.
I will get rid of the toxins and will restore your strength and energize your organism.
Below are 9 lemon detox drinks and recipes so that you can introduce them in your everyday routine and feel really amazing again.
1- Start your day with a smoothie lemon detox diet
What is the most important meal in a day?
I am sure you know it is breakfast.
Breakfast sets the tone for the rest of your day.
So if we take a nice mathematical equation as follows:
A good breakfast means plenty of energy for your body to perform your daily tasks.
That’s why you need a magic mathematical formula for the start of the day.
And the magic formula starts with lemon which will provide your digestive system a boost and stimulate your metabolism for the whole day.
So, let us prepare a lemon detox smoothie and start the day fresh and energized.
Here is how. Very simple.
- Take 1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt.
- Now, get 1 cup of ice cubes.
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice.
- Get 2 tablespoons of honey to reduce some of the acidity of the lemon.
- This is optional, but try to take 1 tablespoon of grated fresh ginger. Ginger is a superfood cancer killer, click here to find out more.
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest.
- Add 1/8 teaspoon ground turmeric. Click here to find out more about this cancer killer.
Pour the lot in a blender and mix all ingredients.
Ensure you blend until smooth. You can add some warm luke water if it is too thick for you.
Drink the superb lemon smoothie detox in the morning and start your day flying.
2- Lemon-lime water detox as a flavor to your food
This is an easy one.
If you like salads, then do not buy ready made sauce for it.
Try to make the sauce at home. It is easy, fun to make and really tasty.
Lemons are perfect for this.
Here are the ingredients:
- Take 1/2 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest (if you like them)
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice. This is the most important ingredient.
- Get 1 teaspoon sugar. You are not obliged to use this, but it adds a little sweetness to the mixture.
- See if you can get 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard. Again, you can remove this one, but this is used by the chefs in all restaurants.
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt, or to your taste is best.
- 3 to 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil.
- Ensure you have some nice and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
Pour all of the ingredients in a glass container and mix the lot quickly. It is ready to be served. Note that I usually add some nice green herbs at the top of the container so that it receives a warm welcome from everyone around the table.
3- Prepare a lemon detox water tonic
I just like the name of this one, Lemon Detox Water Tonic. 😉
But what you need to know is our recipe has some great Anti-Inflammatory properties. And you just need to use our Lemon Detox Water Turmeric Tonic.
- 4″ fresh turmeric root. You can use 2 teaspoons of dried turmeric instead (easier to find in the shops).
- 3″ fresh ginger root.
- The juice of 2 organic lemons.
- About 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper.
- Take 4 cups of coconut water or use some filtered water. You choose.
- Optional: You can use a sweetener of your choice. Maybe raw honey or stevia. I prefer honey to be honest
Scrape the skin off the turmeric using a spoon or other kitchen tool.
If you do not know how to peel it, here it is. First, point the top of the spoon on the top of the turmeric root.
Now you just need to move the spoon gently down.
That’s it. You’ll see how easily the skin comes off when you take the above directions.
Note that I use gloves or a towel to prevent your hands from getting stained.
You are now ready to place all of the ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until combined.
Taste and add sweetener until you reach your taste. Keep refrigerated.
4- Warm lemon sauce to serve
We have had some nice breakfast and lunch lemon recipes.
And the below recipe is more for the evening, where we prepare a sauce that can be served with many different desserts.
- 1/2 cup sugar (use the brown one is best for you).
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (slightly rounded)
- Choose top range 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Use 1 cup of water (near boiling point)
- Take 1 tablespoon lemon zest.
- Prepare 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice.
- 1 tablespoon butter (ensure it is from cold, and cut into small pieces)
In a saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
Now, add the near boiling water and whisk the lot to blend nicely.
Next, place the pan over medium heat and cook.
Continue to stir constantly until the mixture is a bit thick and clear.
Finally, stir the lemon zest and lemon juice into the sauce while whisking the butter into the sauce.
Ensure you add the butter a little bit at a time.
Serve the sauce warm over desserts such as a pound cake, pancakes, or even some nice well-deserved bread pudding.
5- Detox water with lemon at its the best
Detox water with lemon is something that we all have had one day or another.
The thing is why do you want to drink plain water when you can add some nice and unique flavor to it.
You just need to be adding a slice of lemon and maybe some cucumber.
I know, I like cucumber, but it is good for you and me, that’s why.
Both of these willl improve your digestion and detox your organism to a state never seen before. Your doctor will be very impress next time you see him.
6- Detox lemon ginger for the winners
This is probably my favorite one.
And that’s why I call it the winner. It is probably the best detox combo out there.
You just need to do you detox lemon ginger, and the mathematical formula for this is: lemons + ginger + water.
Now, to make it, you need to squeeze 2 lemons.
Add to this 2 inches of ginger root.
Mix the lot and leave it to rest in the fridge.
You can now add some water and if you need some sweeteners, I would suggest honey.
This is a very powerful combination of unique ingredients. It is an excellent juice for the winter season.
You’ll be armed to fight against colds and the flu. Drink it like a shot (if not you may not like it).
By the way, I like to add a little bit of mint to it. That’s my choice, but I wanted to let you know.
7- Everyday detox tea lemon sounds yummy
An everyday detox tea lemon is one of the things that I cherries a lot.
I drink a lot of tea and I can tell you that this everyday detox tea lemon is always a good idea.
So, you can just do your usual tea, and pour a little zest of lemon.
You can even pour a little bit of lemon juice to your taste. Nothing difficult here.
And you can even make your own green tea lemon cucumber detox. Both of these ingredients are great for your body.
8- Add lemons to your veggie and fruit juice
I think this is the easiest one.
When you make your everyday veggie juice, you just can add a little bit of extra lemon taste to it.
For instance, you can make a cucumber and lemon detox juice. The cucumber does not taste that great, so adding lemon juice will definitely provide some sunshine to this drink.
You’ll definitely feel the little acidity that you enjoy so often.
I was excited about sharing with you this post because it contains many different ways you can get rid of toxins.
No matter where you look, you’ll be absorbing toxins.
So, you need to fight both ways. The first way is to reduce the number of chemicals and toxins you are absorbing and which stays in your blood stream.
Reduce all junk food (I did not say cut it all together, but reduce).

The more you absorb lemon, the less toxins you’ll have.
Note that this does not mean you need to have lemon at every hour of the day.
You need a good balance. Say every two days minimum and that should do.
