I think we all know cumin seeds. Or do we? I have used cumin in many of my dishes. But have I used it in the right way? Have I optimized its healing and curing properties?
Maybe not. And this is why I decided to write this article to help you understand this spice a little more (and help myself too). Note that Cuminum is what older people used to call it. It is the ancient name for cumin and has origins as far as Babylon time.

What do you think is best for you? Do you use cumin as a spice or as a cure? For me, and after writing this article, I would use it for both. And here is why.
Cumin has long been considered as the oldest of the spice herb. To be honest, I do not know if this is true.
What I know is that cumin has so many of these healthy curable properties that I cannot list them all. But here are the most important ones.

- It has great properties that fight stomach infatuation
- If you have digestive problems, it can help your digestion
- You can use it as a sedative
- If you are among people with stomach cramps, then the spice can reduce these
- It is full of Vitamin B
- You can use it as a calcium additive as it contains calcium
- It also contains iron, sodium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, and selenium!
With all of these potential cures and healthy characteristics, you can understand why I have decided to make this spice a top earner on my curing shelves.

You can find this spice pretty much anywhere around the world. From small spice shops to big supermarkets. Below I provide you with a link so that you can buy it from your cozy sofa. I told you you can get it from anywhere. Even from home (as long as you have internet).
A bit more information about cumin cure/spice
As I mentioned above, cumin is said to be the oldest spice herb on earth. People say this because cumin remains have been found in pharaoh tombs.
Many believe that it is an aphrodisiac (even in the olden days). In ancient times, Arabs took these herbs and mixed it with honey. They added to it some black pepper. Then they use to eat it with a small spoon once a day to boost their memories.
Greeks were also big fans of this herb. They used it as we use pepper and salt. This was a spice that you should not forget at lunch and dinner time.
Some people used it to cure the fear of animals. Rest assured that this was used in the medieval century. I do not think you should use it as such.
In other countries, people believed that using cumin will bring happiness to young married couples. I guess this was due to the fact that they used it as an aphrodisiac.
Nowadays, cumin seeds is coming back big time as a spice and remedy. It is used in tea, in pastries, and in many standard dishes.
A good idea is to use it after a meal. It prevents you from bad breath. Just shew it. It has good taste too.
Note that people believe that you can eat it to help your gallbladder. Why not try it?
As you can see, cumin seeds have been used for a long time. They are tasty and can be used in so many different ways. You can make cakes, teas, cook all sort of dishes and even shew it to remove bad breath.
But what I like most about this spice is that you can find it everywhere and that it is cheap. It has so many curing and healing properties that it would not make sense for you not to get it on your shelves. I have plenty of jars filled with it.
