There are many types of anemia, as some of them are very acute conditions such as sickle cell anemia or Thalassemia (they are genetic diseases). But the greatest part of the population is suffering from iron deficiency anemia due to iron deficiency, or vitamin B12, along with both folic acid are necessary for the production of healthy red blood cells.

If you are constantly overworked, perhaps it is time to start the intake of iron and vitamin B12. And here are the 7 signs that you might have anemia:

1. You feel shortness of breath or dizzy you often Without enough iron or vitamin B12, the body cannot produce the needed amount of a specific type of protein called hemoglobin, which is critical for the functioning of the red blood cells.

Hemoglobin, which is so rich in iron that makes blood red, allowing the oxygen to the cells to connect so they can wear it through the bloodstream throughout the body. When there are not enough iron or vitamin B12 in the blood, in order to create adequate amounts of hemoglobin, certain parts of the body will not receive oxygen that they need. As a result, you may gasp too easily and often to feel lightheaded.

2. Ever feel so damn tired That is one of the most common (and prominent) symptoms of anemia. If you feel fatigued almost every day, you need to think about what caused it. It is possible that the reasons are not in your work and in your ill health. You have to do blood tests.

3. Your skin is paler than before if you don’t have healthy red blood cells to supply the authorities with oxygen, you can’t expect the largest organ in your body — skin to look healthy. No iron or vitamin B12, it may not be very enough, leading to its paler and even yellowish appearance.

4. Unexplained chest pain feels when there were fewer healthy red blood cells in the blood, the heart has to work even harder. As a result, it beats faster than usual and you may begin to feel chest pain. This is not a problem that we should ignore. Anemic patients suffer more often from acute coronary syndromes and cardiovascular.

5. You are pregnant or have recently lost a lot of blood, pregnant women are especially susceptible to anemia because their body needs to produce a lot more blood than usual to support the growth and development of the baby and without enough iron, vitamin B12 and folic acid in the blood has less healthy red blood cells. However, women who are not pregnant, men and even children living with gastrointestinal illnesses such as ulcers, hemorrhoids, inflammation of the stomach and cancer are also at increased risk of anemia. Especially if you have chronic bleeding.

6. You are a vegetarian. Iron contained in soya beans, leafy vegetables,  in the cheese tofu, as well as in red meat. Vegans and vegetarians, however, often fail to consume enough iron products to meet the needs of your body. The iron has plant sources, but they must be consumed more often. The most sensible thing is to take vegans, vitamin B12 as a supplement.

7. You’re still thirsty and suck ice cubes it is quite an unusual symptom of anemia but is quite indicative. If you are thirsty or have deviance in appetite, for example eating baking soda, clay, crayons or paint, you might have anemia and should consult a doctor.
