There are so many reasons soaked almonds are good for you. Here are the main two:
1- Fight almonds natural enzyme inhibitor:
Dry almonds have an enzyme inhibitor in the skin. It is used by the almonds itself to protect its most valuable asset, which is the almond seed.
The enzyme is highly effective until it gets to the time where it receives natural moisture for germination.
So when you soak the almonds in water, then this enzyme inhibitor is released. You are left with an almond that you can eat easily without your body to fight the enzyme.
