SHE STICKS 4 TOOTHPICKS INTO A POTATO. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS ODD, BUT NOW IT’S REALLY ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!

I came across a list of food tricks involving toothpicks that I had no idea about.

Use toothpicks to keep the sweet potato propped up in the water. When the purple shoots start growing, make sure they get nice and long, and then cut them off. You will then plant them and grow new sweet potatoes.

Using toothpicks, you can grow your own sweet potatoes.

Poke toothpicks in the spud and place them over a jar of water. Once sprouts start popping through the skin, you’re ready to plant them!
It’s really a fun little experiment.

Toothpicks help raise the potatoes and that results in cooking the potato more evenly, without the usual issues that come from cooking potatoes in the microwave. It’s really absolutely brilliant!
